Theme: Purple

Today's theme is purple~ anyone who knows me just a little will know that purple is my favourite colour. I wonder why people have favourite colours... just like how some people attribute colours to days... those people are considered special, but I like to think it's really just subjective, like how I attribute "green" to "bird poo", and "purple" to... well, simply being beautiful.

It was R's birthday yesterday, and she invited a whole bunch of high school friends to Max Brenner at Castle Towers just for a catch up. She met a friend working there and scored a free cupcake!

This was Max Brenner's dark waffle ball hot chocolate.. they put heaps of tiny little dark "malteser" balls into the hot chocolate, which, when you drink, becomes almost like rice bubbles in chocolate milk :D

It's been raining the last couple of days. There was a time when I was waiting for the bus to come and half the sky was blue and clear, the other half was grey and dark... it was so clearly divided.

First meeting with tt after a long long time. Given a choice of what to eat, but was guilt tripped into having sushi. Save yourself the trouble and don't ask next time when you've decided what you want already! :P

But I gotta admit, the sushi at the shop upstairs of Market City where it's $2.50 per plate, including specialties like soft shell crab, it's great. ALWAYS order the grilled salmon (above), the egg and eel sushi, soft shell crab, and abalone :D I know, some people dislike "fake" abalone, but I love the texture.

Then we went over to "Palate" at World Square. It's been serving this taro latte that I've been dying to try. It's a very popular place for both business people and casual students~ (No, I was not perving on the pretty Korean girl with a red bow..)

Got some dips too... but to be honest, only the two dips on the left side was worth eating. The top right is made of Kalamata olives, which is not my thing (I can't get used to the taste of olives... used to peel them off pizzas and give them to icie) and the bottom right is made of tobacco. Actually, we couldn't tell, it tasted really smoked, and kinda like hommus, but gone wrong.

Then it was off to the State Theatre. Despite having been in Sydney for about 12 years now, this is the first time I actually step into the State Theatre to watch something.

Norwegian Wood, movie from the book with the same name, written by Haruki Murakami. If anyone plans on watching this in the future, do read the book beforehand, or you'll be completely lost.

Came home to some purple sweet potato, organic! My aunty grows them in her farm~

I was initially going to post a really short buzz entry of today's Lunch!, but somehow ended with this long winded entry instead. Time to write my script.. it's due tomorrow...
